Inspiration

This initiative is to honor my mother, Andrea “Tina” Heckstall, who passed away in 2025. To me, she was the best mom in the world, embodying love, sacrifice, and selflessness throughout her life. Her legacy drives me to ensure that others—especially elderly individuals and families from struggling and underserved communities—receive the quality healthcare and support they deserve.

Empowerment

At 1000 Miles 4, we encourage everyone to personalize their journeys—whether honoring a loved one, a cause, or overcoming personal challenges—so long as they’re driven by positivity and a willingness to share. Together, we will amplify awareness, foster a compassionate community, and advocate for improvements in healthcare and support systems, so we can truly make a difference

Running for a Cause, Transforming Lives

1000 Miles 4 is a 501 (3)(c) nonprofit organization located in Atlanta, Georgia, under the umbrella of One Thousand Miles For, Inc. Our overall mission is dedicated to honoring our journeys through running and raising awareness for those who need it most.

The initial business approach is rooted in honoring the memory of Andrea F. Heckstall and advocating for elderly individuals and families in underserved and poor communities that struggle to access quality healthcare.

Through the collective action of running 1,000 miles, we aim to raise funds and awareness regarding the inadequacies of healthcare for the elderly, ensuring that no one else has to endure the struggles faced by loved ones.
